The sweet smell of salt hung in the air, the white clouds seamed endless on an open blue sky. The birds sung and danced through the wind without a care in the world. In the distance, the sound of the waves roaring onto the beach. Life seamed so peaceful, so simple. Thud thud...Thud thud.... Each step Munchie ran, he would make that loud thud every time he touched. Waving through the trees, leaping over longs, Munchie ran. Today has been long, and Munchie thought it was time for a break from it all. He was heading to his favorite place on the island. Munchie looked up through the trees, and saw the sun was starting to set. With all his might, Munchie pushed himself harder off the ground, and ran faster so he could make it to the beach. He leaped over a huge log, and landed on white soft sand. When he knew he was at the beach, Munchie's tail began to wag extremely fast. Lunging forward, he griped a stick in his mouth and began to charge around, running and rolling in the soft sand. Looking up, Munchie saw the sun resting on the ocean, and he began to walk towards the water. Once there, he sat in the soft moist sand, and watched as the sun went down, and the coral light up the water. Munchie crouched onto the sand at the edge of the water, and forced on the moving water, and the glowing lights of the coral. Splash. A ripple in the water, and Munchie went for it. Diving head first into the water, his mouth chomped into ocean sand, and he lifted his head out, and flopping out of his mouth was a good size fish. Throwing it onto dry land, he laid his paw on top of it, and with one swift movement of his jaws, the fish was head. Picking the fresh-kill, he pranced over to where the white beach sand meets the forest floor. Placing the fish down, Munchie lowed his from half, and raised his back half, and began to dig a huge hole. After burying his kill, he turned around and lunged himself into the salty water, and started to swim among the colorful glowing coral. Thinking to himself; What a great way to end a long day. To bad I'm enjoying it by myself.

But that was mostly because of how much Flower liked the water, and he liked to think of her. Then again, maybe it wasn't really the water she liked, so much as the colors that were in the water once the sun went down. Either way, Vlad liked to spend lots of time by the water, thinking of her.
Except now thoughts of her were interrupted as a nearby thud thud... Thud thud... could be heard. The fox darted to a nearby rock, and behind it, as one of the large canines splashed right into the water, making Vlad duck behind his safety rock. Oh! That canine could catch fish well, too. Almost like Flower, but never like Flower. And then the unknown male disposed of the fish, and Vlad's fox instincts made a note of where it was, though he really tried not to. The second splash of the large canine in the water helped take his focus off what may lie beneath the sand.
Flower wanted him to be happy in a clan. She wanted him happy and it would make her happy to know that he was happy. He could pretend that the large canine didn't make him think of the ones that killed his surrogate mother, he could do that for Flower, couldn't he? Or he could at least be sure this canine was a Firestorm member, right? Oh, he knew he didn't want to talk to large dogs, but it was all for Flower's happiness. Her happiness...
Vlad stuck his head out from behind the rock and trotted his way over to the water's edge. Time to put on his best 'meeting new dogs' face. [red]"Hello?"[/red] Vlad called, almost immediately regretting he did. God this was a big dog.

The water felt amazing running threw his coat, getting down to his skin. How amazing it felt after a long day helping out the Firestorm natives. He felt good that he caught another fish for the youngsters or even the elders. Splashing through the water, and using his tail like a rudder; navigating over the waves. In the distance, Munchie looked towards the endless ocean and a bigger wave. Taking a deep breath, and dove under the waves. It was so peaceful being underneath the water, looking at the colorful coral, and beautiful fish. Popping this head back up, Munchie started paddling towards the shore. Out of know where Munchie heard a voice from shore. Who was it, and why is he out here this late? Paddling towards the soft sand, Munchie could make out the figure of a fox standing on shore. Is he an outsider? I should ask before I leap to action… Feeling the sand under his paws, Munchie was chest deep in water. Digging his claws into the sand to get traction, Munchie pulled himself onto shore. Only standing in water to cover his paws, he looked at this fox. Turning his head to his side, Munchie stared at him. Replying back to the stranger; “Hello yourself.” Bowing his head being respectful to the stranger. Puffing out his chest like an elk would do Munchie said in a welcoming tone, “I’m Munchie; I belong to the Firestorm, the natives of this island. Who might you be?” Water dripping off his entire body, Munchie shook dry enough to where he wasn’t dripping wet. Water flew in every direction. Behind him, the ocean roared and crashed into rock.

Lyza weaved her was through the trees on the edge of the beach careful not to make to much noise. She was a loner and knew she wasn't supposed to even be here but had somehow managed to make a living under a large tree. She lifted her muzzle into the air,The smell of a nearby firestorm dog wafted into her sencitive nose.Creeping closer to the beach she hid in a small bush looking around,Then she saw him a very large dog dripping wet from the beach standing next to a small black fox,'That dog is kinda handsome'She thought,But she quickly shook the thought from her head,She was a loner,He was a native it wouldn't work out. She stood up and began weaving through the trees once again istantly regreting it when she realised she was too caught up in thoughs about the large dog to notice the stick infront of her.She took a stepforward and then a sudden crack from a stick she had stepped on.She took a careless step back resulting in another crack of a stick. She whinned quietly and starting running as fast as she could down the edge of the beac. But she quickly stopped,She couldn't run to her tree,Then the dog would tell the rest of the firestorm dogs where she was. Turning and bolting back down the beach from the way she came and past the large dog hertan and white coat flowing in the wind as she ran.Time like this was when she was happy to be part border collie,The speed from that helped her out alot when she needed to move fast,And the austrailan shepard from her mothers side also made her fast,But with fast came a slight clumsiness that taunted her when she ran like this.In a split second she went from running to tripping over a small rock in the sand and laying spralled out on the sand like a peice of prey begging to be killed because it was so vonriball,She whimpered fearing the conciqunsince,But running away was no longer and option,So if she was attacked she would fight.

Munchie was waiting on a reply from the fox then his ears pricked up. His ears didn’t get all pointed by they went up when he heard the cracks that came from the forest in front of him. Lifting his nose into the air one word came to his mind; loner. What was a loner doing here, on this island, only natives live on this island? Scanning the edge of the beach that meets the forest, a female dog darted across the sand. Munchie smirked, “We got a runner. Let’s see how fast she really is.” Munchie liked to meet other dogs that can run fast because he is a fast runner. His top speed was 40mph on any terrain. He watched to see where this dog was running to. Looking at the fox he bowed his head politely and spoke, “If you would excuse me, I have to deal with this. If you want you can fallow.” He stood on all four legs, claws dug in the sand, and his back legs shaking. His eyes didn’t leave this stranger dog, and in a split second, Munchie pushed off his back legs and leaped and began to run. Each step he dug his claws into the sand getting better traction. One good thing is that no matter where he is running, he never falls. Getting faster and faster he began to catch up easily. Then this dog tripped and tumbled in the sand, and then went into a fighting stance. Leaping into the air using his back legs to push off the sand, he tackled this stranger dog to the ground, and pinned her. “Who are you?” Munchie asked holding her down making sure he wasn’t hurting her.

One of the ones in the pack assigned to fighting for the pack and hunting for its meals, much like what Munchie was doing. He didn't very much like the fact that Munchie had puffed out his chest like he was some top notch beta, or perhaps because Vlad was simply smaller. He was about to state his name and rank, but the big dog began to shake the water off his coat. Vlad did not want to be sprayed with water, and so he took a step back, turning partially away.
When the awful spray from the big dog was over, he opened his mouth to speak, again hoping to tell the larger canine his name and rank, but again being cut off. His ears flicked, and he turned to listen to the sounds of sticks cracking just out of view. Vlad sniffed as well, catching an unfamiliar scent which could belong to any dog. A definitely female scent. And yet, again before he could speak, the dog was off running into the distance. Vlad could follow? Who did this canine think he was? No one had put him in charge, and the whole point of a pack was safety and strength in numbers. As far as Vlad was concerned, saying 'excuse me' did not make everything okay.
But his cat-like curiosity made him follow anyway. And he watched the larger dogs. Might as well let Munchie take care of himself, since he obviously wasn't too concerned with pack cooperation. His fur was definitely ruffled by the fact that it seemed the 'fellow pack member' was attempting to overlook Vlad, and Vlad was going to be sure to talk to Flower and get her opinion of the situation. For now, he'd just observe, since he felt he wasn't needed. ______________________________ ((OOC: Leopelt, I know you're new, but it's not really fair for you to say that he tackles and pins a character that is not yours. It would be a bit more fair if you said something like "Munchie lunged at the loner and attempted to pin her down, hopefully without harming her." If Jayfeather is okay with her character being pinned, she will say that her character was pinned by yours in her post. At least, that's how fight threads usually go.)) |

((OCC:No im fine with it,Makes things more intresting Like if our characters were REALLY REALLY fighting and then he was all like "Munchie kills Lyza" then i would have an issue but this is fine with me )) Lyza decided that getting into a fight with a dog of this size could be a hazard to her health and that answering his questions would be easier. "Im Lyza,I have lived here all my life.My mother and father lived here years before they died,They stayed unditected and so had i untill now.If you wouldn't mind getting off of me it would be great,Im fast but im not to great in the strength deparment"She muttered jokingly trying to stay on this dogs good side. As she laid there pinned by this large maleher thoughts swirled back to how handsome he was.She mentally was biting herself for even letting her mind venture that far.He was a firestorm dog and she was a loner,She would be lucky if he let her live. 'Being pretty doesn't get me out of everything'She thought mentally frowning,But maintaining her outer smile,She must act optimistic,It might just be the only thing able to save her life. She could have thought of so many smart remarks but managed to keep them all in her head. 'i can't let my tomboyish nature get me killed'The thought hoping her optimisim and good looks would make this dog let her go.
