The day was slowly coming to an end. The sun was setting, casting shades of orange and pink through the sky. The sun warmed the light pelt of the little golden husky mix, the gentle breeze ruffling each individual hair. As the fea wandered alone the tide rolled in and out, warm water brushing her paws. Everything around her just seem so peaceful. It was almost like a paradise within her subconscious. She was surprised to catch not one sight of other dogs. Her powerful nose couldn't even pick up the scent of one. The smell of salt and fish were too overpowering.
Her paws sank in the sand with each step. She looked down from time to time, looking at what little seashells tainted the beach. The she dog used to love watching children scurry down the beaches with their pails, picking up every seashell their eyes came upon. It warmed her heart and reminded her of the human who had adopted her and loved her for so many years. As the thoughts stayed in her head it only made her heart ache. The pooch gave up walking. Her small body faced the water, the sunset's sherbert colors reflecting off the rippling surface. It was a calming sight.
She sat down, taking in the world around her. The only sounds were the crashing of the waves and the occasional cry of a seagull as it flew overhead. Foamy water reached her haunches, wetting more of her light golden fur. Her fluffy tail began to wag against the sand, dusting shells and seaweed to the side. Nostrils worked violently to pick up the scent of the beach around her. It was strong inside her nose, the salt in the air leaving somewhat of a tangy taste in the back of her throat.
The warm breeze carried the scent of wood burning and humans having fun. She pricked her ears and looked down the beach in both directions. There was nothing except a lone pooch daydreaming in the sand. It was a depressing sight, no doubt, but Koda didn't mind it. The loneliness was sharp as a knife, but the beautiful female was used to the pain. It was only a minor paper cut compared to the other wounds life brought upon her.

The soft breeze touched Alaska's dainty white fur, her blue eyes sparkling in th light. Most would think of her a angelic beauty, but you would quickly realize who she really was. The controlling dominant female was vey rough, girly, but hard to gt used to. In fact, Alaska took time for you to really earn her trust and actually see who she really is.... Underneath the heartache and Tom-boish... Stuff. Watching the elegant doll pads up and down the streets was entertaining, she would always do something new, put a skip to her step. To make it to that level though, she used to be domesticated actually, but now she was quite ferrel. Her human contact was very slim, and she just liked being wild, controlling herself was now in the center of her abilities. Rushing Alaska was not good, she would take her good old time, do whatever whenever. And now we see what the husky is really like.
Walking on Cattail beach was always heart warming for the husky, distant memories flooded her mind of when it used to be packed with social activities, joyful music and happy people crowded around, dancing and celebrating, whatever was necessary. A slight smile of memories slowly spread across Alaska's maw. A sudden burst of waves crashing blew up Alaska's faint smile. Turning back towards her original path, the silent Siberian Husky made her way back towards her little town.
It too was abandon, not many places were to be lived in these days, but Alaska knew if one to be open, it would have to be a butcher's shop or a bed/matress store. She picked her feet up to a brisk walk along the beach, the water gently brushing up her paws, cold and salty. The beach was now too, abandon by the joyful noises and bare feet that ran along the shore. The only noises now were the screeches of the seagulls up above, and howls that rang out in the distance if other lonely canines. Speaking if the fact, Alaska could just make out a figure about her own shape and size, about 500 yards away from her. Eagerly she quickened her pace, pricked her ears, and curled her tail, indicating she was no threat, only quite curious.

The foam nipped at her two front paws as she let out a long sigh, followed by the padding of four paws. Koda's ears flopped lightly along with her head quickly turning to the side, scanning the seemingly empty and vast area of sand. Ofcourse, the creature had to be heading her way. All white like an angel, it must have been a dog. The little fea's head turned southwest as it came closer, wondering what to do. But before she could even think, it was right infront of her. "Hello." Koda's soft voice flowed from her throat and out of her slightly smiling muzzle. The dog smelled as a female like her, at least it wasn't one of those sex seeking hooligan males. Oh how much they tried to use her, it drove her insane how arrogant and persistent they were. Anyway, she was just glad it was her own gender. Her tail sweeped the sand from side to side, with the wind still brushing her soft golden pelt.
