other's speaking | wandering | speaking | thinking | lily squeaking
the greens of the forest were soothing, as was the leafy den she now rested in. the slight happy gentle summer breeze flitted through her den. the light that filtered through the mossy roof made her blink her soft blue eyes, briliant in the way the glistening light fell upon them. Tar was not lying beside her anymore and she sighed discontendly. She enjoyed spending time with her mate, time to get away before her pack became too busy. today she would spend on her own, alone in a word that was once so filled with pups. it felt too empty and she didn't like it.
she got up and stretch, her limbs enjoying the feeling after being bunched up for so long. a sharp squeak from above her reminded her of her companian, the pine marten. lily was her name, just as she was a lily herself. it seemed fitting. the slim brown body with a poofy cream colored chest wandered it's way down from the rock and onto shoshona's back. hello lily. good morning. how'd you sleep? shoshona's blue eyes twinkled as she regaured her companian. the pine marten on her back snuggled into her coat, giving her a brown bump on her otherwise firey orange coat. i slept good thank you for asking lily squeaked.
shoshona waltzed out of her den, laughing slightly at her companians sigh of joy as the warm sun rays kissed her back. and then shoshona echoed it with one of her own. the sun did feel good today. the husky bent her head and began to lap up the clear water in front of her paws. it was cold and crisp on her tongue. the texture of it felt good in her body and she could have sworn she heard her body's zealous squeal. then shoshona made her way over to the entrance of her camp and exited. the area surrounding the rocks was shaded by the trees and a nice contrast to the beating sun.

The young German shepherd padded into the strikeingly bright sunlight. Her heart pounded as she came came out of her makeshift den. She yawned, showing her massive canines; she stretched her legs before she headed out once again, to search for food and the night's shelter. She then came upon an open field, lush in grass and trees, a caribou's haven. She smirked as she caught sight of a group of some, and one by itself, probably injures by the way it was holding it's leg up. As she neared the site, dog and wolf scent grew stronger and stronger, and Whisper soon worried that she had entered into unwelcomed territory. The though of her last experience with a pack gave her shivers up her spine, it was that cold and evil. But Whisper had a feeling that this pack would be more understanding.... She hoped.
Quickly she trotted through the brush, making her way to the injured caribou. It was older than the rest, and seemed close to it's death. Whisper knew it would be easy, injuries and age was the preditors advantages. Breathing slowly and crouching down, Whisper made a dash for it. Her muscles reached to the end of their ability, her movement going in motion and sync. It was a beautiful scene- until the caribou came down-blood streaked, fur flying and growling noises. The old male gave one last breath in this dreadful world, and lay on the ground next to the predator- dead. Pleased by her easy victory, Whisper ate her fill, and left what was left of it for the foxes and wildcats. Whisper soon smelled a fimilar scent, known as the common dog. Fear and excited rose in her, neither one taking the dominant side. Just to be careful though, she walked slowly and quietly towards the scent, wondering what would happen next.

shoshona was leader of her pack, and she knew the land better then anyone else. She could tell without any real difficulty that there was a stranger on her pack lands. She smiled at her pine marten and lily smiled back. The two lilies. Shoshona laughed contentedly. Time to go greet the guest, time to go recruit a new member. Shoshona padded through her tropical paradise, so close to home. She watched the tropical birds flutter as she passed them, acknowledging her presence as a predator who could snap their neck easily. She wouldnt of course, but their acknowledgement felt respectful to her, she liked that very much.
Her walk through the forest was peaceful and she enjoyed it, but when she spotted the german shephard, she knew it was time to get down to bussiness. welcome to salubrious young one. My name is shoshona and I am matron of this pack. Do you require my packs assistance, or did you want to join? We would be very pleased to have such a fine young hunter in our pack. It is very rare to find caribou in my tropical paradise. Caribou tend to stick to pine forest. shoshona voice was kind and she emerged from the shadows with a smile on her face. Her tail was high, but it still wagged playfully notes | sorry it took so long. muse | been better. word count | unkown lyrics | bleed red by ronnie dunn

Whisper though for a moment if she should trust this husky. She seemed friendly enough, but Whisper wasn't quite sure. She lifted her head to get a better view. "Matron? Sweetie, if you want me to understand you, please speak English." Whisper paused at her comment at Whisper's hunting. She was right, Whisper did have a thing for always finding the right meal at the right time... "Thank you, Shashona. I am thrilled you take pleasure to my gift. And joining a pack would be most delightful. My name is Whisper." she continued happily. Finally, someone who could actually understand her. She took one last look at her unfinished meal and turned back to the red husky. "Shall we try to take some back to your pack? I'd hate to waist such a delicious hunt." She sighed, as if used to waisting her part.
Whisper was gentle, sweet and loving. If she couldn't get the respect she deserved, most packs were unqualified; in her case. Whisper enjoyed social gatherings, and being around people were amongths one of the favorite things she liked to do. Just, with the right dogs. She tends to bond with females more quickly, as males take some time. Finally, a pack that might be able to help Whisper with her past, even though each had their doubts.
