it was wet. Gawrsh she never seen so much rain inher life. She heard a hiss from the darkness and rolled her eyes. Ever since she saved the snake from drowning, he had been partial towards anything wet. She turned to Nile and licked his scaly head. you can slither under me. But we need to get to better shelter. The python slid out from the shadows and underneath her. He was still small for his breed. Nearly a third of what his full grown size was. She grinned at him with a soft smile. After she saved him, he had followed her around and already she loved him like her own child. It was her and nile. Their very own family. Stevie Rae lifted her paw to take a step forward when she heard niles angry hiss. incoming sssstranger misssssstresssss nile was a snake and hated any dog that wasnt her. He was quick to warn Stevie of strangers. She whipped around and growled. Damn things better not touch her or Nile.

-- baltimore -- The pounding of the rain on the ground echoed in a large coyote's ears. He had found shelter under a large tree for a bit, but even that wasn't much help with keeping the rain out. The Gamma Male of Firestorm Island stretched as he rose to his paws, before silently shaking his coat of the few drops of rain that had fallen on him. Rolling his eyes, he stepped from his clearing and started toward the beach. A few twigs snapped beneath his paws, but that seemed to be the only noise that reached his ears, besides for the rain. What he didn't know..was that a female and her companion were not far from where he had been resting. He actually suspected that he was alone out here. Well, that was until he heard an angry hiss, which caused him to glance around. His grayish eyes scanning over the ground, careful of where he was stepping. Though, the next noise to interrupt his caution was a growl. Raising his head, he almost shrunk back into the shadows, but stepped from beneath a bush to end up infront of the male and her python. Tilting his head, he remained standing away from them, respectfully. "Hello, ma'am," his voice greeted from within his throat. "I'm sorry if I interrupted you or if I made you feel threatened in any way. I was just passing by," Baltimore continued, before closing his parted jaws, as he waited for her to calm down.

y'all better be nice now nile. stevie raes okie twang was directed at thhe scaly creature even though she looked baltimore in the eye. Even as she reprimanded her snake she felt the overwhelming need to protect him. She fixed her eyes on the coyote and she imagined that they were filled with the softness and somethin else. Because she narrowed them. yer fine. Nile aint gonna hurt ya. He aiint to fond a strangers. Bunch a dogs just left him to drown her twang was more apparent now as she watched the coyote. Her eyes were wary, as though someone were not just out to harm her, but to steal her snake. names stevie rae and this ball a scales here is nile. As long as you aint out to hurt him, we'll be just fine. she sounded life an overprotective mother as she growled in her gentle okie tones

'Ya'll better be nice now Nile.' The okie twang of the female entered his ears as she reprimended. Though, he wasn't sure if she was reprimending him or the snake. Shrugging his shoulders, he watched the female with the snake and slowly lowered his rear to the ground. He noticed how she watched him and almost started shrinking back into himself. 'Yer fine. Nile ain't gonna hurt ya. He ain't too fond a strangers. Bunch a dogs just left him to drown.' His ears twitched at her words as he cast a glance at the python. Though, it didn't take long for him to turn his gaze back to the female. 'Names Stevie Rae and this ball a scales here is Nile. As long as you ain't out to hurt him, we'll be just fine.' He noticed the overprotective mother tone in her words, even as she growled at him, again. Shaking his head, it seemed as though he was trying to tell her no, but he was too afraid to talk. But, that was not why. He just sometimes got shy around cute females. "Don't worry Stevie Rae. I'm not out to hurt him or you," he commented, his tone of voice seeming to lower. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Baltimore, Gamma Male of Firestorm Island," he added, since it was only polite that he introduce himself, since she had introduced herself.

stevie rae could see the fear in baltimores eyes and she dipped her head. nile' i gotsa sleep. is y'all wanna stay dry then coil up and ill sit on top of ya nile did as she said' though she could see the clear reluctance in his pretty yellow eyes. she sat down over him and looked at baltimore. "Don't worry Stevie Rae. I'm not out to hurt him or you," her eyes voiced her doubt but she relaxed slightly. if the male said he wasn't going to harm nile than he wasn't going to harm nile. nile's tounge flicked out as he tasted the air around him. ain't that a relief. most of them darn dogs think my lil' nile would be better off dead she made a sound similar to a mothers coo as she looked at her snake.
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Baltimore, Gamma Male of Firestorm Island," his voice was polite and well guarded. stevie rae burst into her friendly smile. it lit up her whole face and radiated the huge heart stevie rae had deep inside. yeah, this male proved okay. now nile had to just accept him. pleasssure to meet you. and of course nile had to talk. didn't him talking get him where he was in the first place? well, like nile said, pleased to meetcha. her voice rang with her twang as well as warmth and friendliness. This male meant no harm to her or her snake and nile had found him worthy company as well, a scarcity indeed.

my actions , "my words" , my thoughts 'Nile I gotsa sleep. if ya'll wanna stay dry then coil up and ill sit on top of ya.' His ears perked as he listened to her address the snake. His eyes watching as the snake did as she said. When he had mentioned that he was not out to hurt Nile or her, he had seen the doubt within her eyes, but noticed as she relaxed slightly. 'Ain't that a relief. Most of them darn dogs think my lil' nile would be better off dead.' Once more, he heard the tone of a mother in her voice. "I know what you mean. Anything that small would look like a toy or food to any kind of dog. But, I only eat things that aren't scaly." He commented, as he glanced around at the lands he called home. Though, it didn't take long for him to turn his gaze back to Stevie Rae and Nile. The smile that lit up Stevie Rae's face caused him to smile, as well. 'Pleasssure to meet you.' He heard the snake hiss at him. 'Well, like Nile said, pleased to meetcha.' He listened to her words, noticing how her tone held warmth and friendliness. Nodding his head slowly, he lowered his form to the ground and crossed his front paws, as he watched the two of them. It was almost like watching a mother with her pups, but instead the pup was a python.
