The young akita moved slowly toward the asylum. THe place scared her. Silently, she padded toward the door happier to be outside but knowing that she had guard duties to do, she had to check everything out. The closer she got, the slower each step she took was. Her tail uncurled from her back and lay flat against her rear.
Creakingly, the door opened as pushed her nose against it. Taking a deep breath, she shoved harder and it opened enough for her to slip inside. Stepping back, she looked around outside once more, then stepped into the building. Her nails made an ominous clicking sound on the floor and her ears were pulled flat ot her head as she moved further into the unlit building. It was a good thing that it was light outside otherwise the poor pup might have never entered the building.

Click...click......click... The sound echoed off of the metallic walls seeming to grow louder every time it entered a room in the large building. The noise itself caused an ebony and ivory coated male to stir from his nap. Blinking the sleep from his unique light blue eyes, he glanced around the room curious as to where the sound was coming from. Click...click...click... The sound seemed to grow closer to where the Alpha Male rested, as whoever was causing it moved further into the building. Stretching, Avalanche stood and leapt quietly off of the small bed. Stepping towards the door, his ears perked as he listened to the sounds in the asylum. Life in the pack had been, well, rather quiet and peaceful, lately. It was just the way he seemed to like it, but, he was gaining new members every day. So, he was pretty sure the quiet and peacefulness of the pack wouldn't last much longer. Though, the pack growing was a good thing.
With ease, he nosed the door open and stepped out into the barely lit hallway. His eyes scanning up and down the hall before landing upon the form of another canine. Inhaling a breath of air, he maneuvered his way towards the other canine. His head held somewhat high in the air, allowing the little bit of light to reflect off of the spiked collar around his neck. His tail swayed back and forth slightly, since he was in a rather good mood, even after having been awoken from his nap. "Hello ma'am," his baritone voice called softly, as he slowed to a stop not far from the female. However, instead of sitting like he normally would, he remained standing. His gaze taking in the sight of the female, as he waited for a response from her.

Sedona sighed and grew more comfortable as she moved on. Nothing surprised her yet, though the place still gave her the creeps. She was moving slowly down a hallway when a figure moved out of a room. She froze where she was standing and became tense as the figure turned toward her and started her way. To her, this had to be the alpha, but even if he wasn't she would be respectful, no need to cause problems yet.
"Hello, sir." She dipped her head slight at him and her tail curled daintily over her back as she looked at him. He was a fellow sledding type dog, but he was definitely no Akita. She'd guess Siberian husky or Alaskan Malamute. SHe'd always had a hard time telling the difference. Gently, the fem sat down and watched him waiting for him to say something then deciding to introduce herself first. "I'm Sedona, and you are?" She didn't mind being forward not if it got her more information about this male in a spiked collar.

Noting the frozen, tensed state of the female, he waited until she calmed down. 'Hello, sir.' The words of the female drifted through the hall towards him and into his ears. He noticed the way her head dipped slightly at him and how her tail curled over her back. Taking a look around the hallway, he soon turned his light blue gaze back to the female as she sat down. 'I'm Sedona, and you are?' His ears twitching as they absorbed her introduction. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Sedona. I'm Avalanche; the Alpha of Soriyan Island," he allowed his baritone voice to introduce, as he dipped his head slightly in an almost bow. Lifting his head back up, he casted a slight smile at her. "How do you like the Island?" He questioned her, as he took one step towards her and then stopped. He was the type of Alpha that liked to get to know his pack members and find out how they like the island. He was probably one of the friendliest Alphas a canine could ever meet. His tail swayed back and forth slowly, behind him, as he waited for her answer.

The young Akita relaxed suddenly as the alpha introduced himself. Her tail wagged back and forth on the floor as she transitioned into a more happy version of herself. After all, this was usually how Sedona was once she got to know someone. When he asked how she liked the island, the Akita tilted her head slightly sideways. "I like the Island very much. THis place.." She looked around at the ominous dark place. "This building freaks me out a little. ITs so dark and dank, I can't believe it has ever seen a happy day since its construction." She untilted her head and smiled at him not knowing what else to do. "Are there any other packmates?" She leaned forward just slightly to sniff him.

Avalanche watched as the young akita's tail wagged back and forth on the floor. A smile crossed his muzzle as he continued to wait for her response to his question. 'I like the island very much. This place..' His ears perked as she paused in her words. 'This building freaks me out a little. It's so dark and dank, I can't believe it has ever seen a happy day since its construction.' He nodded his head at the completion of her words. When she smiled at him, his smile grew a bit bigger. 'Are there any other packmates?' He tilted his head at her question, but waited as she leaned forward to sniff him. "I believe this place has never seen a happy day. At least, not until the day the humans left. And, there are a few other packmates. They are just roaming around the Island." He responded, as he untilted his head. Slowly, he reclined to his haunches and glanced around the darkening hallway. "What do you say to a little fresh air?" He questioned her, wanting to go outside the building for awhile.

Sedona watched his ever action, cataloging his response to her own relaxing body language and her words. So far, he seemed to be a good alpha, not having jumped her for being guarded when he had first appeared as her own parents would have. Instead, he seemed very understanding. As he asked about going back outside her heart jumped. Of course, she'd love to get out of this place and escape her own morbid curiousity about it. Slowly, she rose even as he sank.
"I do prefer the outdoors. Would you mind showing me around a bit?" She tried not to sound childish but she was young, and she thought that should afford her some leniency not much though. As a guard, she was aware that she had to be on her toes at all times and young or not she had to protect her pack.

Avalanche watched the young female raise to her paws, as he lowered his rump to the floor. Tilting his head, he flashed a charming smile, before raising himself to his paws once more. 'I do prefer the outdoors. Would you mind showing me around a bit?' His ears perked at her words, but he nodded his head slowly. "I would be honored to show you around a bit," he responded. With ease, he maneuvered his way towards the front door of the large building. After a few steps, he stopped and looked back towards her, as he waited for her to move. He enjoyed the asylum, but he also preferred the outside. This place held so many stories and mysteries. And, every now and then, the stench of the people who once lived here, still managed to pop out of no where. Noises could sometimes be heard throughout the building, as well. But, they never scared him. He seemed to be used to it, since he has lived on this island his whole life. Slowly, his tail started to wag back and forth behind him.

As he moved past her, Sedona didn't move. Once he was past her and padding down the hall, she turned slowly and followed a respectful distance behind him. Her head up and her tail curled delicately over her back giving her a happy air that did not seemed bothered by the building at the moment, even though Sedona was aware of the terror it struck into her heart. How could humans be so unkind to their own kind? Thinking of this, she wondered how canines could be so harsh to their own kind also. When the alpha spoke, her ears pricked forward and she walked faster to catch up. She hoped that she didn't look to eager to him, though even if she did most would have written it off as attempting to please the alpha. Sedona herself was not so sure it was that.
