Since the days of her old pack, Alaska had completely forgotten about pack rules, customs, and such. Trait after trait had been passed down, and now more and more 'wolves' were looking like dogs because of all the dog mixed in with them. Now, Alaska did not count, she was bred by human, but found her way into the wildlife, and stayed, after her mother's incident.
She was not the type to talk of her past, not the kind to feel better when talking and explaining how she felt, not the type to love and heal, no, Alaska had a heart if stone, solid rock... Until that one day comes, when she could find him.
But unfortunately, Alaska had been gushed and dumped so many times, she was beginning to unwind herself in the tangled webs of nothingness.
So scarred, and abused, she could do nothing but wait. And waiting had left tears on her cheeks... Which have never dried completely. She stills curses herself in letting her mother go, although it was not her fault at all.
It required patience, what Alaska needed, but this Siberian husky could never wait. Letting go of something meant loosing it forever-and she couldn't do that.
Would it?
Alaska was so confused. Joining A pack again meant giving things up, and Alaska wasn't ready for that.... Was she?
At the break if dawn, the husky set off to find herself-the pack a meal for this afternoon. She still was having trouble wih her way wound this territory, so she decided to take her party a little further, into her old lands. That would be trespassing, nugget, who cares. Right?
This was another thing Alaska had to associate. She was not by herself anymore, she had a pack to feed, and she was a member. But, she hadn't figured that out quite yet.
Sneaking quietly over a Hill, she spotted a group of deer/caribou, contently feasting on the grass and weeds. Her muscles rippled as she got done to pounce.... No, not literally, you see, her strategy was very different from most wolves and dogs. Come from the front quietly, therefore, they can not run forwards, because they'd run into her, which is just exactly what most of them did, stupid things.
As she continued on her way down, she noticed a small, weak baby one, which had drifted off a ways from the herd, a perfect opportunity, she had to grasp.
As soon as she was close enough, she sprang into action, heading at full speed towards this baby. It was too much for the poor thing to take. It fell down immediately after she had bitten deeply into it's neck a few times. Blood gasped everywhere, it as not the prettiest sight.
Carefully dragging her prey up towards her pack, Alaska was gettit egsausted from pulling it. Just when Alaska could pull no more, the sound of other wolves rang out. They were calling their pack together for hunting- and one of them had smelled Alaska. Quickly remembering this was not her territory, the female quickly sprang back into action. She would not give up. Yet. Sh pulled and Yankee and jerked, and was finally in her pack's territory. She gasped out, realeaved that she was safe from the angular jaws of the rivalry pack. If she calculated right, in just a few hours, they would be over here, tattleing and snarling at her alpha.
Then, something occurred to her. Would they do it?
To Alaska it was just some stupid pack upset because she had been in their territory, but, no one had proof that she took anything, so ha!
Alaska was brilliant. Right?
