'Where the hell have you wandered off to now?'

A dark figure moved across the foreign, jungle ground. Its body almost gliding, phantom-like. The only sounds that could be heard from this creature were the crunching of leaves beneath its feet and - if one got close enough - its nearly silent breathing. There was no clicking of claws - nor were there ever any with this being. It was not because he was some otherworldly being or creation, nor was it because he was a specter in the night, no, it was merely the cause of nervous habits resulting in chewed down claws. It was hot, and nightfall was drawing near as the sun had turned a purple-ish red and begun to sink beneath the treeline. The shadows of the jungle grew longer and more distorted. Golden-rimmed eyes glanced at the sky, reading the clouds and air. The black nose at the tip of his rusty muzzle twitched, taking in the soft, humid air. This, was the mischievous wolf, Loki.

As he strode he kept his jaws parted, his salmon tongue lying lazily atop his bottom teeth. The male's shoulders and head were kept nearly perfectly aligned as he took each careful step. His lean form carrying him closer and closer towards an unset destination. But, when would he know to turn back to the plains which he called home - he had always called home? The golden eyes narrowed in thought as he approached an alien structure located somewhere amidst the jungle territory. He eyed the creation carefully, taking in all possibilities of what it might be. Surely, it was not natural. Dark, chocolate brown ears perked up at the thought. Could this be the Ruins of Nolan he had heard tales of. Rumor was that this was where the outcasts of the jungle came to make a home, slowly driving themselves insane during the process. A devious smile perched upon his lips. Perhaps this could be interesting. Slowly he made his ascent up a staircase towards the building, careful to pay close attention to his surroundings - wouldn't want to be caught unaware.

As he came upon the doorway he pushed himself through, leaning up against the siding as he did so. The room was dark, maybe too dark? No, the sun still shown a slight glimmer in the outside world. His eyes narrowed into near slits as he glanced around. Over in the corner he could make out a little perch. 'Perfect,' he thought to himself as he padded casually to the small crevice. Jumping up to his new-found balcony. Plopping down into a comfortable position upon which he laid on his belly, his front paws crossed and dangling over the edge, while his burnt-orange head stayed erect, ears and nose twitching to pick up anything unusually.

Here, he would await his prey to show itself.

Medium sized paws padded carelessly along the concrete sidewalk. For reasons unknown to him, Crowley always felt the need to walk on the man-made roads as opposed to just walking all willy-nilly through the grasses and shrubs. Was it because domestication had still set in the minds of this generation? He shrugged off the thought, taking careful steps over some broken glass that had found itself along his path. Curious as to why there were shards of the sharp mass he glanced upwards, his spotted muzzle pointing at a broken out window of a familiar building.

It was no surprise that the building looked familiar. After all, he had been roaming these lands for some time now, he was sure he had at least partially noticed all of the landmarks it had to offer. With peeked interest, he carefully made his way up to the large door.

The door itself stood partially opened, a tempting offer for one to explore the unknown. Ears perked and amber eyes bright, he shoved his muzzle through the partial opening and proceeded to widen the entry way. A small smile crossed over his lips at his success. Carelessly, he proceeded inside.

Darkened ears perked up, he took in all of the echoes of his own claws and pads hitting the tiled flooring. His eyes were wide with wonder. Glancing around a corner he noticed a particular room that was much unlike all of the others. This one had large, ebony sinks and some locked stalls - a change in environment from the rooms filled to the brim with books, paper, chairs, and other miscellaneous objects. No, this room was different. It looked "clean" in a way with the white walls and flooring and... what was that over in the corner.

A sharp yelp escaped the canine's muzzle as he instinctively backed around the corner. He could feel his heart beating hard in his chest. Who was that that he had seen standing in the strange room? He looked just as startled as Crowley had been. In fact, Crowley could have sworn he had seen that canine before. A mix of black and white fur, a red bandana, definitely familiar. Carefully making his way back around the corner he swallowed all of his courage in a decision to investigate.

The dog in the room decided to do the same. Tilting his head in a bit of confusion the feeling was even furthered. This canine Crowley had seen was mimicking him flawlessly. Frustration swelled inside the mutt. Was this dog mocking him? Anger flooded through his body as he ran at a sprint and lunged, the other canine mimicking. Crowley snapped back into reality as he struck what felt like a wall and tumbled backwards. What had happened?

Pacing back and forth in front of the canine that stood before him - his company doing the exact thing right back to him - Crowley came to a conclusion that his opponent must have been behind a window. He huffed, unsure of what to do next.

The young German shepherd padded into the strikeingly bright sunlight. Her heart pounded as she came came out of her makeshift den. She yawned, showing her massive canines; she stretched her legs before she headed out once again, to search for food and the night's shelter. She then came upon an open field, lush in grass and trees, a caribou's haven. She smirked as she caught sight of a group of some, and one by itself, probably injures by the way it was holding it's leg up. As she neared the site, dog and wolf scent grew stronger and stronger, and Whisper soon worried that she had entered into unwelcomed territory. The though of her last experience with a pack gave her shivers up her spine, it was that cold and evil. But Whisper had a feeling that this pack would be more understanding.... She hoped.

Quickly she trotted through the brush, making her way to the injured caribou. It was older than the rest, and seemed close to it's death. Whisper knew it would be easy, injuries and age was the preditors advantages. Breathing slowly and crouching down, Whisper made a dash for it. Her muscles reached to the end of their ability, her movement going in motion and sync. It was a beautiful scene- until the caribou came down-blood streaked, fur flying and growling noises. The old male gave one last breath in this dreadful world, and lay on the ground next to the predator- dead.
Pleased by her easy victory, Whisper ate her fill, and left what was left of it for the foxes and wildcats.
Whisper soon smelled a fimilar scent, known as the common dog. Fear and excited rose in her, neither one taking the dominant side. Just to be careful though, she walked slowly and quietly towards the scent, wondering what would happen next.
